Trans woman stabs man in Balboa Park, police report

An argument turned ugly, and victim comes away with stab wounds and broken finger.

Police are on the lookout for a transgender female who stabbed a man in Balboa Park on Thursday, March 16 just before 7 pm. 

It happened underneath the Cabrillo Bridge on the 900 block of El Prado in the historic park.

Police tell San Diego Gay and Lesbian News, the 42-year-old male victim had a verbal argument with the assailant who he said was “transitioning to female."

According to a report taken by Officer Robert Heims, the argument turned violent when the woman pulled out a knife and cut the victim above the left ear and sliced his left ring finger.

That finger was also broken.

The victim described his attacker as a Hispanic female, 5’5, with black hair had on an orange t-shirt layered on top of a yellow shirt and wearing green pants.

The injuries were not life-threatening and the victim was transported to a local hospital.
