The San Diego Police Department is reporting that a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle on the corner of University Avenue and Seventh Avenue on Saturday morning.
The unidentified 54-year-old cyclist was heading west on University at about 10:30 am, when a 76-year-old woman driving a 1997 BMW made a left turn and struck him.
The cyclist’s injuries include a broken left femur, and lower left leg.
Police say that alcohol was not a factor in the accident, but are investigating the incident further.
