The Brick Bar on University Avenue has temporarily lost its liquor license according to a public notice from the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) posted on the door.
The sign says the ban is from Thursday, May 31 to June 20, 2018. San Diego Gay and Lesbian News reached out to owners to try and determine why the license was suspended, but we have not yet received a comment.
Brick Bar has become somewhat of a local favorite.
Near the Pride flag, the establishment was once known as the Bamboo Lounge before it became the T Lounge. It ultimately became Brick Bar in 2016, which relies on featured daily happy hour specials, house-crafted cocktails, and craft beers.
Their last post on Facebook was made on May 3 for a Drag Race season 10 viewing party.
