The group is comprised of 12 community members from a variety of backgrounds including business, non-profit, community activism, and more.
Mayor Todd Gloria today announced the appointments to his first LGBTQ Advisory Group. While Gloria is not the first City of San Diego mayor to have an LGBTQ Advisory Board, he is the City's first openly-gay Mayor.
Twelve LGBTQ San Diegans were appointed to the board:

Fernando Lopez
Tootie Thomas
Julia Legaspi
Rickie Brown
Approximately half of the members served on previous Mayor Kevin Faulconer's LGBTQ Advisory Board.
In a social media post, Mayor Gloria said he is "looking forward to having this group of LGBTQ community leaders and advocates at the table in City Hall to help advise my administration on key LGBTQ issues."
