Downtown was the scene of an “active shooter” who was reported during the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on Sunday afternoon.
A female suspect was arrested according to a police report.
In a posting from the SDPD on the Nextdoor app at 12:45 pm, they said:
“The active shooter at 100 W. C Street is in custody. There is no longer a threat to the community. The scene is secure. The Rock and Roll Marathon has resumed.”
A police officer is reported to have been injured by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the leg or foot according to CBS 8.
